My Role
As a UX person my goal was to understand the system and try to make it as easy as possible and as it is a business product it was very important to see that all the goals are met in the best way possible
Challenge
Approach
Good Fast Successful
ERP usually has lots of data in it. So we started deciding on user group and then figured out industries that would be interested and then with the help of functional experts I tried to understand the system, I was mainly focusing on production module other than that i was also doing material management, sales and HRMS
After long sessions, we were able to understand the problem areas and tried to relate them with other modules. So we tried to achieve the following through different UX methods
Process
For each phase, I went through cycles of requirements, consensus, approvals, detailed specs and handoffs.
My process involved creating flow charts, sketching and white‐boarding concepts and flows with my partner and then translating these directly into hi‐fidelity design comps.
Prototyping was the most effective way to gain meaningful feedback from the team, consensus from stakeholders and approval from enior leadership.
After approval a working prototype was created with the help of development team to check the functionality aspects.
